One can only imagine what it would be like to spend several hours locked up in the jail.  Following is an excerpt from Ann's journal as she writes about a typical night.

Dear Prayer Warriors,

Your prayers were definitely heard and answered!  Thirty-two women attended, 21 unsaved.  At the invitation, all 21 came forward, accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and the Lord of their lives.  The others who were Christians, all rededicated themselves to a more obedient walk with the Lord.  When you have time to read further, I will give some of the details.

What seemingly looked like a disaster, turned in to one of the most anointed services I have had the privilege to witness, anywhere in my life.  Carol and I arrived early only to find our room unprepared.  All the chairs were stacked along the wall and the VCR and Television would not cooperate.  Through a long process, I asked to be released and ran to my car for another film on Christ's life, and it too, would not play properly. Next I prayed, "Lord, if you can have me smuggle 300 pounds of Bibles into China, you can fix this machine!  Please do it now."  In answer to my prayer, the big steel door "buzzer" immediately sounded and in walked Chaplain Bobby Murray!  He quickly fixed the television and VCR and said he would talk to the officers about extending the class since we were getting off to a late start.  Miraculously, while fixing the television, the officers gave the inmates their medications early instead of waiting until after our service.  God's timing definitely wasn't our timing, but it was the best!  Our room filled to capacity!

I began with a thorough explanation of the Gospel, beginning in Genesis, followed by the Praise and Worship songs, simple but profound:  "Praise the Name of Jesus", "He Lives", "Oh How He Loves You And Me", and "Open My Eyes Lord".

By this time, the Holy Spirit was convicting their precious hearts and tears were beginning to flow.  I led in prayer and invited each to prepare a table for Christ, to meet Him face to face. Kneeling in front of their chairs each humbly brought their personal requests, thanks, and confessions to the Lord.  Several cried openly asking forgiveness.

One young girl was defiantly staring at the wall with tears pouring down her cheeks.  As I hugged her and told her, "God never loved her more than He did right that minute", she confessed her mother had been praying for her for years and tonight, was her first church experience.  She later accepted Christ!  One girl tried to leave, saying she had a "bad back".  I told her to "give God a chance; He had a gift for her that would change her life."  She stayed and accepted Christ!

One could hear a pin drop as they eagerly watched the "Jesus" film. Immediately after, I led in a prayer of invitation and we celebrated as 21 precious souls were saved!  Afterwards, two women stayed on for individual prayer and counseling.

Our prayer service was extended to 11:00 PM!  Instead of two hours, the officers allowed us over 3 hours.  Miraculously, one of the officers was an old acquaintance from the "Ocala Women's Fitness Center."  All were patient, kind, and understanding!

Thank you faithful friends who prayed and will continue to pray for these precious sisters, for their spiritual growth and obedient walk in the days ahead.  Jesus promises, "I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.  You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."  (John 14:13-14)

"In Him (Jesus) and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence!" (Ephesians 3:12)  I am so glad to be a part of the family of God!  Aren't you!?  What an abundant life!
