Principles of Ministry
"We are confident that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6
  • Do not offer services for which God has not provided resources.  Start where you are with what resources God has provided, and do what you can by God's enabling. Just be faithful in the little and God will bless and multiply.
  • Do not feel guilty over what you cannot provide. Focus positively on what God has enabled you to do. By and large, the greater extent of your service will be offering just plain love, friendship and understanding.
  • Do not make services the permanent response. Though we provide temporary relief to women in crisis, our primary goal is to become a bridge for communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ so she may learn to depend on the Lord "Jehovah Jireh" to meet her needs.
  • Do not take responsibility for a person. In so doing, you will only rescue her from the immediate crisis and still leave her vulnerable.  We must help her not only discover her own strengths, but the strength and hope to reach beyond her circumstances through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Do not make it your mission to change a person. Our mission is to show people the unconditional love of Christ, to be His hands and His feet in a fallen world and to introduce them to the One who can change them. Christ alone has the power to change a person from the inside out.  We want regeneration, not rehabilitation!
  • Do not be discouraged if you fail to see results. Be willing to sow in a person's life and trust God to bring conviction and faith. You may be one of a chain of people whom God will use to draw her to Himself.
